Dear Class of 1981,
I am pleased to share with you an update on the Class of 1981 Student Financial Aid Fund. At the same
time, allow me to thank you for your continued support of scholarship aid at MIT.
The following pages [see attachment - Your Webmaster] illustrate the significant impact your fund has on students today. As you will see,
the students who benefit from alumni-supported scholarship funds like yours are brilliant, curious, and
ambitious—traits that will serve them well throughout their education at MIT.

You may remember filling out the Class of '81 Questionnaire before graduation making various predictions about 1991 -- what you'd be doing, etc.? The plan was to return the sealed envelopes in 1991, at our ten-year reunion. That didn't happen because the questionnaires went missing. About 15 months ago, my husband Ned and I found them in an old suitcase while cleaning out the attic above our garage. There are hundreds of envelopes individually marked with names of classmates on the outside. I would be happy to bring them to the reunion...

Dear 1981 Classmate,
It’s hard to believe, but it’s been 30 years since most of us left MIT. Together we grew from MIT students into MIT alumni. There’s no one else on the planet who has our shared experience and perspective. I’d say that’s an infinite connection!
